As a qualified Nutritionist, I can help you to lose weight in a safe and healthy way which will result in keeping the weight off long term. I’ll also address any factors that may affect weight loss including stress, underactive thyroid and low muscle tone.

What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathic medicine is a system of healing that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. Naturopathy incorporates a range of treatments including dietary advice to optimise nutrition, vitamin and mineral therapy and herbal medicine. The underlying belief of naturopathy is that the body is able to heal itself if given the right support.
Naturopathic medicine aims to stimulate the healing power of the body and treat the underlying cause of the illness, not just the symptoms. Treating the cause leads to long lasting results – leaving you feeling better for longer.
Naturopaths educate their clients to look after their health by focusing on a healthy diet, regular exercise and stress management. Naturopathy may be used alongside other modalities such as chiropractic and acupuncture and Naturopaths work closely with GP’s and other healthcare practitioners.
How long is the consultation?
The initial consultation takes between 45-60 minutes and the follow up consultation is 30 minutes. During the consultation, we’ll explore your health history in depth including previous illnesses and injuries, current medications and the symptoms you’re experiencing.
What will my consultation cost?
The initial consultation fee is $95 and the follow up consultation fee is $50. Private health fund rebates may apply and HICAPS is available for instant health fund rebates.
What does the treatment involve?
Naturopathic treatment may include vitamin and mineral therapy, herbal tablets or liquids, nutritional supplements, dietary and lifestyle advice. I use only the best quality practitioner strength natural medicines including herbal and nutritional formulas from Metagenics, Bioceuticals and Mediherb. All natural medicines used are backed by extensive research.
What diagnostic testing is available?
I use Healthscope Functional Pathology and Nutripath Pathology for a wide range of diagnostic testing including hormonal profiles, hair mineral analysis, metabolic profiles, complete digestive stool analysis, food sensitivity profiles, intestinal permeability, nutritional profiles and MTHFR testing.
Which age groups can be treated?
I consult with clients of all ages – children, teenagers, adults and seniors. It’s never too late to see a Naturopath.
Do I need a specific medical problem to see a Naturopath?
It’s not uncommon for someone to see a Naturopath because they feel tired or run down rather than for a specific disease state. Sometimes tiredness, skin problems, digestive problems and inflammation are the result of poor diet, food sensitivities, poor sleep or stress and these issues are addressed.
How important is good nutrition?
A healthy, nutritious diet is the cornerstone of good health. Busy lifestyles and convenient, fast foods can often compromise good health.
